Reckoning for Ramaphosa as 500,000 jobs in South Africa now at risk

The Southern African Agri Initiative (SAAI) says that South Africa’s removal from the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) will put tens of thousands of jobs on the line, with some estimates shooting past 500,000.The United States Trade Office announced late on Monday (SA time) that the world’s largest economy intends to remove South Africa and Rwanda from its AGOA programme.
