Preparations for President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto’s, white wedding to Tanzanian entrepreneur Isaya Yunge have taken an exciting turn after a video showing the decorated venue in Mwanza emerged online.

Large portraits of the couple also feature prominently on the wall. Charlene appears in a sleek black outfit, while Isaya is dressed in a smart suit as the two pose together.

The elaborate display has attracted attention from residents and passers-by, with several people stopping to take photographs and record videos of the decorations.

Palm trees and a modern building visible in the background suggest that the celebrations could be taking place at an upscale hotel or lakeside resort in Mwanza, Isaya’s hometown.

The preparations in Tanzania come just hours after Charlene celebrated her bridal shower in Nairobi.

The colourful event brought together her sister, Stephanie Jepchumba, and close friends. It featured a specially decorated entrance bearing the words “Welcome to Charlene’s Bridal Shower” and a themed cake carrying the message “Miss Babe to Mrs Babe”.

The celebrations follow the couple’s traditional Kalenjin Koito ceremony, which was held on August 8, 2026, at Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris.

Isaya Yunge is a Tanzanian technology entrepreneur and the founder of SomaApps, an education technology venture based in Mwanza.

The upcoming white wedding marks another significant milestone in the couple’s relationship, with the elaborate preparations attracting attention from Kenyans and Tanzanians alike.
