“Methu is The Smartest Ruto’s Mole in DCP And Opposition ” Thuku Claims

Political commentator Wahome Thuku has alleged that President William Ruto maintains close political connections with Nyandarua senator and DCP politician Kaba Methu despite the latter’s association with the opposition.

In a social media post, Thuku questioned claims that Ruto intended to politically target Methu, arguing that the two politicians could be maintaining a relationship behind the scenes despite their different political positions.

Thuku described Methu as an influential figure within DCP and the opposition, alleging that he could be serving as a political link between Ruto and the opposition camp.

He cited a previous online discussion in which Kenyans were asked who Methu would approach if he needed an additional KSh5 million to purchase a new vehicle. According to Thuku, most respondents identified Ruto as the person capable of providing the money immediately.

The commentator further alleged that Methu was being used by the President to weaken Ndindi Nyoro, although he did not provide evidence to support the claim.

Thuku also recalled Methu’s alleged involvement in discussions surrounding the formation of another political party associated with Ruto, arguing that their political association could be stronger than publicly acknowledged.

He compared the alleged relationship to the biblical story of Nicodemus, who visited Jesus at night, suggesting that Methu and Ruto could be maintaining private engagements while presenting different political positions publicly.

Thuku further claimed that Methu’s political calculations were influenced by ambitions of returning to the Senate and rebuilding his relationship with the President.

His remarks come amid growing political realignments ahead of the 2027 General Election, with DCP positioning itself as part of the opposition against Ruto’s administration.

However, the allegations about Methu’s relationship with Ruto remain unsubstantiated, with no independent evidence presented in the post.
