Kaizer Chiefs Defender Faces Suspension Risk After Disciplinary Setback

Kaizer Chiefs have been dealt another disciplinary setback following their painful Soweto Derby defeat to Orlando Pirates, with defender Inacio Miguel facing a fresh suspension that could further complicate the club’s defensive plans.

The Angolan centre-back found himself in trouble during Saturday’s highly anticipated clash at FNB Stadium, where Amakhosi suffered a 2-1 defeat against their biggest rivals.

Miguel was sent off in stoppage time after receiving a second yellow card, leaving his teammates to deal with the final moments of the match without him.

The defender is expected to miss Chiefs’ next two fixtures as punishment for his dismissal.

His absence comes at an inconvenient time for the Soweto giants, who need stability and consistency at the back as they continue competing in domestic competitions.

Miguel’s disciplinary problems have also become a growing concern. Before the Soweto Derby, he had already collected three yellow cards against Mamelodi Sundowns, Siwelele FC and Stellenbosch FC.
