“I Will Not Tolerate It”- Ned Nwoko Issues Stern Warning Over False Reports About Regina Daniels

Nigerian politician Ned Nwoko has issued a stern warning to social media users spreading false information about his estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels, particularly those circulating fabricated reports about her death and health condition.

The Delta State politician made the appeal in a lengthy statement shared on his official social media page, urging Regina’s fans, friends, bloggers and other social media commentators to give her the space and support she needs to recover.

According to Ned, his appeal goes beyond Regina herself, as their children also deserve to see their mother receive love, encouragement and every opportunity to get better.

He noted that Regina has experienced more challenges than many people are aware of and stressed that this is not the time for people to judge, criticise or make her situation more difficult.

Ned also referred to a video Regina shared on her birthday, explaining that it offered the public a glimpse into some of the health challenges she had been facing.

He further expressed concern over the circulation of disturbing and fabricated reports about the actress, particularly false death announcements, noting that such publications have caused her emotional distress.

The politician maintained that Regina comes across many of these reports herself and that spreading such information does nothing to aid her recovery.

He also urged her supporters to discourage the spread of false stories rather than contribute to their circulation.

Issuing a strong warning to those behind the publications, Ned disclosed that they were documenting the posts and would take legal action against anyone found responsible.

“I want to make a sincere appeal to the public, particularly Regina’s fans, friends, bloggers, and social media commentators, to please give Regina some breathing space. I make this appeal not just for her sake, but also for the sake of the kids, who are very well cared for and deserve to see their mother supported, loved, and given every opportunity to get better.

Regina has been through a lot, more than many people may realise, and right now, what she needs most is love, support and the opportunity to recover.

The video she shared on her birthday gave people a glimpse of some of the health challenges she has been dealing with.

As someone who knows what she has been through, I can tell you that this is not a time to judge, vilify, or add to her burdens. It is a time to show compassion and allow her the opportunity to heal.

Regardless of the difficulties we have faced, her well-being has always mattered to me.

It is, in fact, the very concern that brought much of our private situation into the public domain.

I am particularly concerned about the circulation of false and disturbing reports about her, including fabricated death announcements, misleading stories and other hurtful content.

These things are not harmless social media engagement.

Regina sees many of these posts, and they are deeply distressing. They do nothing to support her recovery; rather, they add to the burden she is already carrying. I appeal to her fans, who genuinely care about her, to help discourage this behaviour instead of amplifying it.

Let me make this very clear: I will not tolerate the deliberate spread of false information about Regina, particularly fabricated reports about her death, health or personal circumstances. Those hiding behind social media accounts to invent stories, mislead the public and exploit her situation for clicks and engagement should stop immediately.

We are documenting these publications, and we will hold anyone found responsible accountable through the appropriate legal channels. There is a limit to what we will tolerate, and we have reached it.

Regina deserves the opportunity to recover without being subjected to a fresh wave of fabricated stories every day.”
