He Beats Me Anytime I Question His Cheating – Joana Cries Out After 11 Years Of Abuse In Marriage

A woman called Joana, the ex-wife of Ghanaian businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye, has finally spoken out.

In a statement through her legal team led by former Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame, Joana says she suffered for about 11 years in her marriage.

“He beats me with a belt hook whenever I disagree with him or do something he doesn’t like.”

According to her legal team, this was not a one-time thing. Joana allegedly endured long years of domestic violence.

She claims she was slapped, punched, kicked and whipped with a belt. Most of the beatings allegedly happened when she confronted her husband over alleged infidelity.

For 11 years, she says she kept quiet. Now she is speaking.

The case has shocked many Ghanaians because Richard Nii Armah Quaye is a well-known businessman. People know him for money and success, but now his ex-wife says behind closed doors, it was pain and fear.

Joana’s lawyers say they have evidence and they are ready to pursue the matter through the law.

They say no woman should go through what Joana allegedly went through just because she is married. Marriage is not a license to beat.

As of now, Richard Nii Armah Quaye has not publicly responded to these allegations. These remain allegations from Joana’s side.

But one thing is clear: Joana says she is done being silent. She wants justice and she wants other women in abusive marriages to know they can speak out.
