Charlene Ruto’s Posh Wedding Preparations in Tanzania Captured on Video

Preparations for Charlene Ruto’s white wedding in Tanzania have drawn attention, after a video showing a decorated venue in Mwanza surfaced online.

The footage captured what appeared to be the entrance to the wedding venue, marked by a large branded perimeter wall bearing portraits of Charlene and her fiancé, Isaya Yunge.

The display featured elegant photographs of the couple dressed in formal outfits. Charlene appeared in a sleek black outfit, while Yunge wore a smart suit. The two were pictured standing together beside a prominent welcome message.

The elaborate display attracted the attention of people in the area, with several pedestrians stopping to take photographs. The video showed locals pausing along the roadside to capture the portraits and the decorations.

Palm trees and a modern building could also be seen behind the display, suggesting that the celebrations were being held at an upmarket hotel or resort in the lakeside city.

The preparations in Tanzania came just hours after Charlene hosted a bridal shower in Nairobi, bringing together her sister, Stephanie Jepchumba, and close friends.

The celebration featured a cake bearing the message “Miss Babe to Mrs Babe” and a decorative arch welcoming guests to Charlene’s bridal shower. The event’s soft pink and white colour scheme also echoed the colours seen in some of the wedding preparations in Tanzania.

The bridal shower marked another celebration ahead of Charlene’s union with Yunge, with the couple having already held a traditional Kalenjin Koito ceremony.

The traditional ceremony took place on August 8, 2026, at Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris, Narok County, where the two families formalised the relationship.

The white wedding in Mwanza follows that traditional celebration, with the venue’s large portraits and welcome display offering a glimpse of the preparations underway for the occasion.
