BUA Chairman Abdulsamad Rabiu Speaks After Entering Holy Kaaba With President Tinubu

The Chairman of BUA Group, Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu, has described his recent entry into the Holy Kaaba with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a great spiritual blessing that he will never forget.

The billionaire businessman made the statement after he joined President Tinubu during Umrah in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday, November 2, 2026.

In a post shared on his official Facebook page, Rabiu said the experience of entering the Kaaba, which is regarded as the holiest site in Islam, was a rare honour granted to only a few people.

He explained that the moment was deeply emotional and beyond what words can fully express. According to him, he felt humbled and grateful to Almighty Allah for being among those chosen to enter the sacred chamber with the President of Nigeria.

Rabiu said the visit was more than a personal achievement. He noted that while he was inside the Kaaba, he offered prayers not just for himself and his family, but also for the entire Nigerian nation.

He prayed for peace, unity, progress and prosperity for Nigeria, asking Allah to accept their supplications and to guide the leadership of the country.

President Tinubu is currently in Saudi Arabia for the lesser Hajj. He was granted the rare privilege of entering the interior of the Kaaba, a gesture that is only possible with a direct order from the King of Saudi Arabia or the Crown Prince.

The opening of the Kaaba is considered one of the highest marks of honour and respect that the Saudi authorities can give to a visiting foreign leader. The key to the Kaaba is kept by the family of Bani Shaybah, in line with Islamic tradition.

The delegation that accompanied President Tinubu into the holy site included top government officials, state governors and prominent business leaders. Among them were the Attorney General of the Federation, the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, and the Chief Executive Officer of Oando Group, Wale Tinubu.

With this visit, President Tinubu has become the second Nigerian President in the current democratic dispensation to enter the Kaaba after former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Many Nigerians have since reacted to the news on social media, describing the development as a moment of pride and spiritual significance for the country.
