Blessing CEO Apologises for Past Remarks, Seeks Forgiveness Following Son’s Death

Nigerian relationship therapist and social media influencer Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has publicly apologised for her previous insensitive comments about other people’s struggles, admitting that her personal experiences have taught her to understand pain and grief differently following the death of her nine-year-old son, Bryan.

According to TVC News Nigeria, the influencer shared an emotional video and message on her Instagram page on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, expressing regret over her past behaviour and appealing to those she may have offended to forgive her.

Blessing CEO admitted that she had previously made remarks about situations she had never experienced firsthand. However, she explained that her recent challenges had changed her perspective, making her realise that experiencing pain is entirely different from speaking about it.

Her apology comes weeks after she regained her freedom on bail following her detention over allegations of fraud.

Reports indicate that she was still in custody when her son died in a hospital on June 8, 2026. Bryan reportedly battled chronic asthma before his death.

In her message, the influencer also acknowledged that some supporters had withdrawn their support because of her previous statements and actions. She expressed willingness to accept responsibility for her mistakes and rebuild relationships.

Comparing her decision to seek forgiveness to the biblical story of the prodigal son, she appealed for another opportunity to start afresh.

She also paid tribute to Bryan, whom she affectionately called Dum Dum, promising to make positive changes in his memory.

Blessing CEO revealed that his death had deeply affected the entire family, including his grandmother, father and brother. She disclosed that she and her mother sometimes hid from each other to cry because of the overwhelming grief.

She also regretted not being present during her son’s final moments and appealed to the public to pray for her family as she struggles to cope with the devastating loss.
