Wike:Tinubu Was Wise in His Decision to Say, Oga, Restrict Your Rainbow to Rivers and FCT–Arodiogbu
The APC National Vice Chairman for the Southeast, Dr Ijeomah Linus Arodiogbu, has rejected the formation of the Rainbow Coalition in the Southeast, saying the region wants its candidates to win elections on their own strength.
Arodiogbu made this known during an interview on TVC News, where he spoke about the political activities of the coalition reportedly linked to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
He said the Southeast does not support the coalition and wants Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru and his Enugu State counterpart, Peter Mbah, to secure re-election. He added that APC candidates should not be abandoned after receiving party tickets in favour of candidates from other political parties.
Arodiogbu also praised President Bola Tinubu’s reported decision to limit the activities of the Rainbow Coalition to Rivers State and the FCT.
He said the coalition should leave other states, including Kwara and Gombe, for their people to decide their political future.
The APC chieftain stressed that his party wants its candidates to work hard, campaign on their popularity, and win elections through their own efforts.
In his words, “I believe that the president was wise in his decision to say, Ok Oga, restrict your rainbow, whether chameleonic, in Rivers State and FCT if you can. Leave other States.”
