We Will Not Forgive You If You Sell 2028 To The NDC — J.A. Sarbah Warns Ashanti NPP Executives
Political commentator and New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporter J.A. Sarbah has cautioned the party’s Ashanti Regional executives against allowing their internal disagreements to weaken its preparations for the 2028 general elections.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Sunday, November 1, 2026, Sarbah expressed disappointment over the disagreements emerging among the regional executives barely two months after they were sworn into office on August 15, 2026. He questioned why complaints, accusations and public criticism had started so soon after their inauguration.
He specifically addressed the Regional Chairman, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as COKA, reminding him of his earlier commitment to unite the party and secure victory for former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the Ashanti Region in 2028.
Although Sarbah acknowledged that COKA had worked towards becoming regional chairman for a considerable period, he stressed that winning the position came with the responsibility of bringing the executives together.
He urged the chairman to resolve disagreements with other members of the regional leadership, particularly amid the negative publicity surrounding the regional secretariat. Sarbah admitted that he did not know the full details of the issues but maintained that efforts should be made to address them.
The commentator also warned that the NPP should not underestimate the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the next general elections. He described the Ashanti Region as an important political stronghold for the NPP and argued that the party needed to remain united to defend its position.
Sarbah alleged that the NDC could use different political strategies to create divisions within the opposition party and influence its members. He also accused the governing party of relying on division, tribalism and what he described as “ways and means” in its electoral activities.
He warned that the Ashanti Regional executives could be held responsible if their disagreements contributed to the NPP losing ground in the region in 2028.
Sarbah concluded by urging the executives to stop gossiping, criticising one another and engaging in unnecessary disputes. He called on them to focus on rebuilding the party, warning that their actions could have consequences for its future electoral prospects.
