“Stop Giving Confusing Messages” Ole Kiyapi Delivers a Stern Warning Message to Opposition
Opposition leaders have been put on notice over their growing political divisions, with Ole Kiyapi delivering a stern message urging them to abandon personal ambitions and focus on building a united political alternative ahead of the next General Election.
In a strongly worded statement, Kiyapi called on all opposition leaders to demonstrate humility, put their political house in order and stop sending confusing and contradictory messages to Kenyans.
He argued that the opposition cannot expect the public to trust its leadership while its prominent figures continue appearing divided on critical political questions. According to him, Kenyans need a clear direction, a common agenda and leaders capable of working together beyond their individual political interests.
Kiyapi further challenged opposition politicians to understand that their political ambitions should not take priority over the needs and expectations of ordinary citizens.
He maintained that winning public confidence requires more than criticising the current administration, insisting that opposition leaders must present a convincing alternative that addresses the country’s challenges.
He also dismissed the idea that unity would happen automatically, warning that bringing different political interests together requires deliberate effort, difficult conversations and personal sacrifices.
His remarks come amid growing political discussions surrounding opposition unity, leadership arrangements and the possibility of presenting a common candidate against President William Ruto in 2027.
Kiyapi’s message presents a difficult challenge to opposition leaders: they must demonstrate unity through action rather than political declarations if they hope to convince Kenyans that they are ready to lead the country.
