Sifuna’s Ground Marshals Storm Western Kenya Homes With A Self-Funded Door To Door Campaign For 2027

Supporters of Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna in Western Kenya have intensified grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections. His ground marshals popularly known as jeshi have entered the field to persuade voters door to door.

An NTV Kenya report showed the group in action. The on-screen banner highlighted a house-to-house campaign for Sifuna’s bid in the Western region.

Supporters particularly from Bungoma describe Sifuna as capable and have pledged to back him fully. The marshals have vowed to run the campaign using their own money and personal contributions.

They say they are driven by his agenda which is centred on constitutionalism.

Reports circulating among the group claim that the network includes more than 50 Members of County Assembly across the region. This builds on earlier efforts by Sifuna’s allies in Bungoma Kakamega Trans Nzoia Busia and Vihiga.

Foot soldiers in those counties have held meetings to popularise his presidential ambitions and build political networks.

The mobilisation reflects continued efforts by the Linda Mwananchi movement to consolidate Western Kenya behind Sifuna. It follows his high-profile homecoming activities in the region earlier this year.

Organisers present the house-to-house strategy as a way to take the message of change and constitutional adherence directly to households. They say it reduces reliance on large rallies.

The drive comes as Sifuna continues to position himself as a key opposition figure challenging the status quo. Western Kenya is viewed as a critical base because of its voter numbers and its historical role as a swing region.

Supporters frame the self-funded push as proof of genuine local ownership of his candidacy. They insist the movement belongs to ordinary citizens and not to any political godfather.
