According to report by The Nation on Monday, November 2, 2026, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has officially kicked off her campaign for another term representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The campaign activities, which commenced over the weekend, drew residents, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supporters, political leaders and other stakeholders from across the district.
The senator and her supporters visited several communities in Okene before the programme ended with a major gathering at her residence in Obeiba, Ihima, in Okehi Local Government Area.
The event also attracted PDP candidates contesting various National Assembly and Kogi State House of Assembly seats in Kogi Central.
Their participation provided an opportunity for the party’s candidates to interact with constituents, strengthen their grassroots structures and canvass for votes ahead of the elections.
Speaking during the campaign, Akpoti-Uduaghan said her commitment to the people of Kogi Central was not limited to election periods.
She stressed that her relationship with constituents had been built over time and was rooted in service, representation and advocacy.
“My relationship with the people of Kogi Central goes beyond elections,” the senator said, describing the people as her family and the reason she remained committed to public service.
She expressed appreciation to residents for turning out to welcome her, saying the reception demonstrated the strong bond she had established with communities across the senatorial district.
Akpoti-Uduaghan further promised to intensify her efforts toward attracting infrastructure, economic opportunities and other development projects to Kogi Central.

Among those who participated in the campaign were PDP House of Representatives candidates for Adavi/Okehi, Ajaokuta and Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituencies, as well as candidates seeking seats in the Kogi State House of Assembly.
The senator was accompanied by her husband, High Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan, along with aides and political associates.
Kogi Central Senatorial District comprises Adavi, Ajaokuta, Okehi, Okene and Ogori-Magongo Local Government Areas.
