“Please Give Regina Some Breathing Space” – Senator Ned Nwoko Appeals in New Statement

Senator Ned Nwoko has publicly expressed support for his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, appealing to members of the public to show her compassion and give her breathing space to recover amid ongoing concerns about her health and personal life.

The senator made the appeal in a statement shared on his verified Instagram account on Monday, November 2, 2026, addressing rumours of Regina’s recent health challenges.

In the statement, Nwoko appealed to the public to allow the actress some breathing space, stressing that the appeal was not only for her sake but also for the well-being of their children, who deserve to see their mother loved, supported and given every opportunity to recover.

He acknowledged that Regina had been through a lot, adding that what she needed most at the moment was love, support and an opportunity to heal.

Referring to a video Regina shared on her 25th birthday, in which she appeared in a wheelchair and spoke about her health challenges, the senator said the footage gave the public a glimpse of some of the difficulties she had been experiencing.

According to him, as someone who knows what she has been through, this was not the time to judge, vilify or add to her burdens but rather an opportunity to demonstrate compassion and allow her to recover.

Nwoko further stated that despite the difficulties in their relationship, Regina’s well-being had always mattered to him, describing it as the very concern that brought much of their private situation into the public domain.

The senator also expressed concern over the circulation of what he described as false and disturbing reports about the actress, particularly fabricated death announcements, misleading health stories and other publications concerning her personal circumstances.

He maintained that such reports were deeply distressing to Regina and did nothing to support her recovery, urging her supporters to discourage the spread of misinformation rather than amplify it.

Nwoko warned bloggers and social media accounts deliberately circulating fabricated stories about the actress that he would not tolerate the practice. He disclosed that the publications were being documented and that those found responsible could face legal consequences.

He concluded by reiterating that Regina deserved the opportunity to recover without being subjected to continuous speculation and fabricated reports.
