Pastor Jimmy Odukoya Introduces New Wife to Congregation Amid Cheers in Lagos

According to a report by The Punch on Sunday, November 1, 2026, during Sunday service on November 1, 2026, Jimmy Odukoya, senior pastor of Fountain of Life Church in Lagos, introduced his new wife, Pastor Mo Odukoya, to the congregation.

Days after the pastor’s social media post hinted at a fresh start, the pastor made the announcement at the church headquarters in Ilupeju, Lagos State.

Odukoya posted a photo to Instagram on Saturday that featured two hands ringed with wedding bands and the caption “To New Beginnings.”

Not everyone who saw the post was happy for the clergyman; some were wondering if he had secretly tied the knot, while others were sending congrats.

On Sunday, when Odukoya officially introduced his wife to the congregation as Pastor Mrs. Odukoya, all speculation was put to rest.

At the church service, the couple made their first public appearance together as they made their way to the stage, to the applause of the congregation.

Odukoya explained his choice by saying he needed time alone after becoming senior pastor of the church to find a compatible partner.

As he was getting ready to introduce his wife, he supposedly referenced the biblical story of Adam finding a suitable companion, as seen in a video shared on the church’s Facebook page. He made it clear that he had been walking the walk of life alone ever since he became your pastor.

As an additional point, he brought Pastor Mo Odukoya to the congregation’s attention by saying that the Bible says it’s bad to be alone.

Pastor Tunde Bakare of The Citadel Global Community Church prayed over the newlyweds and blessed their union after the introduction.

Once upon a time, in 2013, Jimmy Odukoya wed Oluwakemi Banjoko in London. Prior to their breakup, the couple had a total of two kids.
