Nana Akomea pleaded with me to allow him to become First Vice Chairman – Kojo Bamba
NPP National Chairman John Boadu has revealed that Hon. Boakye Agyarko has not been responding to his calls since the party’s recent internal elections. According to comments reported by Kojo Anane Sonkondo, Boadu said he had made several attempts to contact Agyarko but had received no response, suggesting a possible communication gap between the two prominent party members.
The revelation has raised questions about the state of relationships within the NPP following its internal elections. Although Boadu did not disclose why Agyarko was ignoring his calls, the situation has fuelled speculation about possible disagreements, dissatisfaction or strained relations after the contest.
The development also brings the issue of party unity into focus as the NPP prepares for the 2028 general elections. Cooperation among party leaders is essential to building a strong political front, and any signs of disagreement could create concerns about divisions within its ranks.
Boadu’s decision to speak publicly about the matter could be interpreted as an appeal for dialogue and reconciliation. However, others may feel that personal disagreements between senior party figures should be settled privately rather than brought into the public domain.
His disclosure has nevertheless highlighted the importance of trust, communication and solidarity among party leaders. As the NPP looks towards its next electoral challenge, resolving any internal tensions will be crucial to maintaining unity and presenting a united front.
