Major Blow to Ruto as Another UDA Politician Dumps UDA Hours After Sakaja Did the Same

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has officially welcomed Silas Jakakimba into its political family after he left the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) to join the party.

Jakakimba is expected to use the ODM ticket to pursue his 2027 parliamentary ambition in Suba North Constituency. His decision to join the party marks another political development as leaders continue preparing for the upcoming general election.

ODM welcomed Jakakimba warmly, describing him as a long-time member of the political family associated with the late Raila Odinga, popularly known as Baba.

His move comes at a time when ODM is working to strengthen its grassroots structures and attract more leaders from different parts of the country.

The party believes his arrival will add to its growing political presence and strengthen its efforts to work with leaders who share common political and development goals.

ODM also linked his move to the growing Broad-Based Government partnership, which brings together leaders from different political backgrounds.

The party said it was ready to work closely with Jakakimba and the people of Suba North to push for development and promote a common agenda.

His decision to leave UDA and join ODM is likely to attract attention in Suba North as the 2027 election approaches.

With his parliamentary ambition now under the ODM ticket, residents will be watching his next political steps as he prepares for the contest. His entry also adds another name to the growing list of leaders positioning themselves for the 2027 elections.
