Family Announces Burial Arrangements For Nollywood Actor Francis Duru

According to Daily Post, published on November 2, 2026, the family of Nollywood actor Francis Duru has announced his burial arrangements, including dates for services of songs in Abuja and Imo State.

The announcement was contained in a statement shared on the late actor’s Instagram page on Monday. It was jointly signed by his sister, Anthonia Chenyi, and his first son, Ebuka Duru, on behalf of the family.

According to the statement, the first service of songs will take place on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Family Worship Center, Idris Gidado Street, Wuye, Abuja.

The family also scheduled another service of songs for Thursday, December 10, at the late Pa Theophilus Ogide Duru’s family compound in Okai, Eziama, Isiala Mbano, Imo State.

The funeral and interment will follow on Friday, December 11, at the same family compound in Okai, Eziama, Isiala Mbano.

The family expressed appreciation to everyone who had supported them since the actor’s death. They acknowledged the prayers, calls, messages, kindness and other forms of support received during the difficult period.

They also invited relatives, friends, colleagues, associates and well-wishers to join them in honouring the late actor.

The announcement provides the official dates and locations for the family’s burial plans following earlier concerns about unauthorised funeral information circulating online. The family had previously urged the public to rely on updates released through its official channels.
