Detain officials who fail to account for public funds – Bagbin urges PAC

The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has urged members of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to demonstrate courage and firmness in holding public officials accountable, including invoking their legal powers of detention during hearings when necessary.He said the committee must not hesitate to sanction officials who engage in misconduct, stressing that its oversight responsibilities should be treated with the seriousness they deserve.
