Dagbamete Chiefs Reward GMB Star With Cash And Land After Pageant Success

Fiakegbe Marie Juniore Sessinam has received a generous homecoming welcome from the chiefs and people of Dagbamete after representing the Volta Region in the 2026 edition of Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) pageant.

The beauty queen, who finished as first runner-up in the national competition, was presented with GH¢40,000 and a land title for a property in Tema during a homecoming event held on Sunday.

The financial reward was specifically intended to support her purchase of a new vehicle, while the land gift formed part of the recognition she received from her community for her performance in the competition.

Sessinam’s achievement brought attention to Dagbamete and the wider Volta Region during the national pageant, where contestants use the platform to showcase their cultural heritage, identity and regional representation.

Her second-place finish earned her recognition beyond the competition itself, with the homecoming celebration providing an opportunity for the chiefs and residents to publicly acknowledge her efforts.

The GH¢40,000 contribution towards a vehicle is a practical form of support, particularly as she returns from the national contest with increased public visibility. The Tema land title also represents a significant gift from the community.

The presentation reflects the importance attached to her achievement by the people of Dagbamete, who gathered to welcome and honour their representative.

For Sessinam, the reception marks another memorable moment following her participation in GMB 2026. Although she did not take the overall crown, her first-runner-up position has been followed by tangible recognition from her hometown.

The gifts also highlight how communities can celebrate individuals who represent them on national platforms and bring attention to their cultural identity.

Her homecoming was therefore not simply a return after the pageant, but an occasion for the Dagbamete community to express appreciation for her performance and offer support as she moves on to her next chapter.
