2027:Kano Govt Are Manipulating, Bribing and Playing Games With INEC To Stop Our Candidate—Kwankwaso

According to a report by Arise News, on Sunday November 1, 2026, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) vice-presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has leveled severe allegations against the Kano State government, accusing it of orchestrating political maneuvers, bribery, and manipulation to block the party’s candidate from participating in the upcoming elections.

Speaking on the political climate, Kwankwaso claimed that the administration is deeply uncomfortable with the prospect of competing against the NDC fairly at the polls.

Expressing strong skepticism over the integrity of recent electoral developments, Kwankwaso stated:

“I think the information that we have m especially those of us who had background information that the governor here doesn’t want to contest the election with anybody especially from our own side. I want to say that we have seen the hands very clearly the hands of the state government manipulating bribing and doing all sorts of things playing games in INEC playing games now in the hawks to stop our candidate. There is just absolutely nothing to worry about the game that is taking place here in Kano and of course in the country.”
