Northern Man Thanks Tinubu Supporter for Food Items, Says He Won’t Vote for APC in 2027

A man from Northern Nigeria has thanked a supporter of President Bola Tinubu for giving him food items but says the gesture will not influence his voting decision in the 2027 general election.

In a video circulating on X (formerly Twitter), on the 1st of November 2026. The man displayed food items reportedly given to him and his friends by supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The items were said to include bags of rice, maize and beans.

While expressing appreciation for the assistance, the man made it clear that receiving the food would not translate into political support for Tinubu or the ruling party in the next election.

“One of President Tinubu’s supporters gave me two bags of rice and beans. I really appreciate him, but I won’t vote for Tinubu in the 2027 election. I will vote for the right candidate,” he said.

A separate post by a social media user identified as Certified Obidient also claimed that the man and his friends received the food items from APC supporters.

According to the post, the recipients said they would accept the items but vote for their preferred candidates.

The man’s reported position has drawn attention to the question of whether gifts and material assistance from political supporters can influence voters’ choices ahead of the 2027 election.

However, the supplied reports did not establish when or where the food items were distributed.
