Just Days After Ruto Left the Country, Kindiki Has Also Been Seen in Helicopter to This Destination
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has departed Nairobi to represent President William Ruto at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) scheduled to take place in St John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, from November 1 to 4, 2026.
Kindiki said Kenya will use the important international meeting to promote its national interests and attract more foreign investors. He noted that the country wants to strengthen its position as a stable democracy and a good destination for business and investment.
According to Kindiki, the meeting will also give Kenya an opportunity to build stronger relationships with other Commonwealth member states. The organisation has 56 member countries with a combined population of about 2.7 billion people across Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Europe.
He explained that Kenya will use the meeting to discuss major global challenges and seek support for its national development priorities.
The Deputy President added that the engagement will involve official meetings, side events and private discussions with different leaders and investors.
Through these activities, Kenya hopes to create more opportunities for local businesses, attract foreign investment and support economic growth.
Kindiki said Kenya is looking for international partners who can provide capital, modern technology and skills needed to support the country’s next stage of economic transformation.
The government believes the summit will strengthen Kenya’s international partnerships and open new opportunities for businesses and investors.
Kenya’s participation is expected to help promote the country’s economic potential while building stronger ties with other Commonwealth nations.
