Javits Frimpong : As a mother, I feel this in a place I cannot fully explain – Nadia Buari, Ghanaian Actress

Ghanaian actress and film producer Nadia Buari has expressed deep sorrow and anger following the tragic killing of 15-year-old Ghanaian student Javits Frimpong in the United States.

In an emotional Facebook post published on October 31, 2026, the actress shared a heartbreaking message reflecting on the teenager’s death and the pain his family is going through. Buari said the incident had affected her deeply as a mother, making her imagine the unimaginable possibility of losing one of her own children.

She explained that reading about Javits reminded her of the ordinary moments parents experience every morning when their children leave home for school, often without realising that a simple goodbye could become their last.

According to the account shared by the teenager’s family, his father, Thomas Frimpong, had last spoken to him about getting to school on time. What appeared to be an ordinary parental reminder has now become a painful memory for the grieving father.

Buari described Javits as a quiet, intelligent and precious young boy whose life was cut short before he could fulfil his dreams. She questioned how such a tragedy could happen to a child who was reportedly simply trying to attend school.

The actress was particularly troubled by reports that Javits had previously experienced bullying and harassment from other students. His father reportedly said the matter had been brought to the school’s attention, with disciplinary action, including suspensions, taken against some students.

Despite the reported interventions, the teenager was still unable to escape the tragedy.

Buari also expressed sympathy for Javits’ mother, who is reportedly in Ghana, highlighting the devastating pain of receiving news about a child’s death while being thousands of miles away.

She concluded by saying she was pained, angry and frightened, adding that she was holding her own children a little tighter.

The tragedy has sparked conversations about school safety, bullying and the protection of students, while many Ghanaians continue to send condolences to the Frimpong family.
