Tompolo, Adeleke and Oyetola Set 1.5 Million Vote Target for Tinubu in Osun

Supporters of President Bola Tinubu have set a target of securing at least 1.5 million votes for him in Osun State during the 2027 presidential election.

The target was announced on Saturday, October 31, 2026, in Osogbo during the inauguration of the state and local government structures of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement.

Those associated with the initiative include the movement’s Grand Patron, Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola.

According to a statement made available to PUNCH Online, Tompolo also donated 30 vehicles and other campaign materials to support the movement’s activities across the state.

Speaking through his representative, Kestin Pondi, the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Tompolo urged residents of Osun and other South-West states to support Tinubu’s re-election bid.

He called on Osun residents to aim for at least 90 per cent of the votes cast in the state, describing Tinubu as a fellow Yoruba man whose administration had introduced economic reforms.

Tompolo also credited the President’s economic policies with increasing allocations to state governments, which he said had helped governors pay salaries and pensions and execute development projects.

He stated that the reforms had improved Nigeria’s economic outlook and encouraged investors to consider the country.

Governor Adeleke, who was represented at the event by his deputy, Kola Adewusi, also expressed support for the re-election initiative.

He commended the movement for bringing together supporters from different political parties, describing the gathering as evidence of a shared commitment to Tinubu’s political ambition.

Adeleke urged members of the coalition to put aside their political differences and work towards securing between 1.5 million and two million votes for the President in Osun State.

The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, was represented by Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, the APC governorship candidate in the 2026 Osun election.

Oyetola noted that support for Tinubu’s re-election had continued to extend beyond the traditional membership of the All Progressives Congress.

He urged the movement to turn its growing political support into actual votes at polling units across the South-West.

The National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Sunday Asuku, also appealed to Osun residents to participate actively in the 2027 presidential election.

According to the report, Osun State has 2,339,233 registered voters, while 1,906,390 have collected their Permanent Voter Cards.

Asuku encouraged residents to turn out for the election, arguing that the state’s voting population presented a significant opportunity for the movement to achieve its target.

The inauguration and the announcement of the vote target highlight the growing political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
