Dorathy Bachor reacts to rumours of engagement with Broda Shaggi

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Dorathy Bachor has reacted to rumours of an engagement with Nigerian skit maker Broda Shaggi following a viral video of the pair.

The reality television star expressed displeasure over the attention surrounding their relationship, saying she preferred to mind her business.

In a post addressing the speculation, Dorathy said social media users were deliberately provoking her with their comments and assumptions.

“For someone who minds her business, you people really love to poke me. Leave me alone,” she wrote.

The rumours began after a loved up video of Dorathy and Shaggi surfaced online on Friday.

In the clip, Dorathy was seen lying in bed beside the comedian while displaying what appeared to be an engagement ring to the camera.

Shaggi also expressed appreciation to Dorathy for standing by him during a difficult period following his gunshot injury.

He thanked her for remaining by his side when he was down, adding that he would always love her.

The video generated reactions from social media users, with many interpreting the display of the ring and their affectionate exchange as signs of an engagement.

However, neither the video nor Dorathy’s reaction has confirmed that the pair are engaged.

Shaggi, whose real name is Samuel Animashaun Perry, made headlines in October after recounting how he was hit by a stray bullet in March while leaving a brand activation in Ogun State.

The comedian disclosed that he underwent surgeries in Nigeria and Dubai and spent several months recovering from the injury.
