1999:I Fell In Front Of My Bathroom, When My Sec. Came To Me I Told Her”I Think My Mom Is Dead” —RMD

Veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD, has spoken about how he found out about his mother’s death in 1999

In an interview with Olive Emodi, RMD said that while heading to his office bathroom, his knees suddenly buckled and he fell in front of the bathroom door.

RMD said his secretary heard the fall and rushed in to check on him. He said he told her he was fine but added that he had a strong feeling that his mother had died because he could not explain why he had suddenly fallen

RMD said shortly after, he was asked to come to Warri, where he was informed that his mother had died.

In RMD’S words: “I remember I had seen her two days before. I came back from Warri, I was in my office writing on my table and I got up to use the bathroom. As I approached the bathroom my leg caved for no reason, my knees just buckled and I fell in front of my bathroom door and I sat down there. My secretary Comfort heard the fall and ran into my office and said ‘Oga, are you okay’. I said ‘Just leave me I am fine, I think my mother is dead'”
