Wiper Member Lawyer Ndegwa Njiru Sends Warning to Sifuna on His Presidency After Kalonzo Was Heckled

Wiper Party member Ndegwa Njiru has criticised Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna following the heckling of party leader Kalonzo Musyoka during the launch of the Linda Mwananchi Movement.

In a statement, Njiru said Sifuna should be made to understand that neither what he described as psychopathy nor mediocrity would propel him to the presidency.

His remarks came after Kalonzo was interrupted by supporters of Sifuna when he questioned the senator’s status as a presidential candidate during Friday’s event.

Kalonzo told the gathering that Sifuna had to wait until November 13, when the party’s National Delegates Conference is scheduled to take place, before being recognised as a fellow presidential candidate.

The comments triggered boos and chants from sections of the crowd, forcing Kalonzo to stop his speech and question whether he should continue or leave the stage. Sifuna later intervened to calm his supporters and allow Kalonzo to address the gathering.
