Uhuru Mocks Ruto in Mt Kenya, Jokes What He’s Been Doing When Wife Can’t Bear Kids.

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has seemingly criticised his successor, President William Ruto, over the Kenya Kwanza government’s continued tendency to blame the previous administration for the country’s current challenges.

Uhuru stated that constantly revisiting past mistakes does not help the country make progress, urging leaders to focus on tackling present challenges and developing plans for the future.

Using driving as an example of leadership, the former Head of State explained that a leader should concentrate on the road ahead while keeping a firm grip on the steering wheel, rather than continuously checking the rearview mirror. He noted that effective leadership requires a clear vision and the ability to guide the country forward, even during difficult moments.

Speaking in Kipipiri, Nyandarua County, Uhuru urged leaders across different levels of government to take responsibility for their positions and demonstrate their commitment through service delivery.

“Kenya is home,” he said, wishing Kenyans and the country’s current leadership well. He stressed that those entrusted with leadership should focus on the future instead of repeatedly dwelling on the country’s past.

The former president also faulted leaders who frequently blame previous administrations whenever challenges emerge. In a humorous remark, he suggested that the blame game could reach absurd levels, joking that leaders might eventually blame their predecessors even when someone in their family fails to get a child.

Uhuru’s comments appeared to emphasise the importance of accountability, urging the current administration to move beyond blaming past governments and instead prioritise practical solutions to the problems affecting Kenyans.
