Thugs attack APC supporters in Malumfashi, stops Tinubu, Radda campaign rally

APC flag Spread the word Suspected political thugs in Katsina state Wednesday reportedly attacked the All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters moving to attend the campaign rally of Tinubu/ Radda in Funtua town,Katsina state.

The attack took place at Malumfashi and Karfi villages at about 11: 25pm. 

An eye witness told Blueprint that the thugs damaged over 20 vehicles as a way of expressing their anger against what they described as “hardship everywhere in Katsina.”

Blueprint reporter saw police officers using tear gas to prevent escalation of the attack.

Our findings indicate that the state governor’s convoy was also attacked at Karfi village as  they threw table water sachets at vehicles on the governor’s convoy.

Our findings showed that several people were injured as thugs used stones and dangerous weapons to attack party loyalists.

Those attacked also included women and travellers in private and public vehicles.

Journalists narrowly escaped the attack when they attempted to cover the incident between Malumfashi and Karfi village.

 The thugs blocked the road, and held knives and other dangerous weapons, threatening lives and property of citizens and particularly,  APC supporters.
