Nana Akua Addo returns to runway after abuse saga [Video]

Fashion icon Nana Akua Addo has made her first runway appearance since the abuse saga, as she delivered an emotional finale at Lagos Fashion Week 2026 amid reports of her separation from her husband, Harold Norman.

The fashion personality was handpicked to close designer Sevonne Dejana’s “Out of Body” showcase at the Lagos Fashion Week tents at the Federal Palace Hotel.

Before taking to the runway, she arrived at the venue in a white jumpsuit paired with a distinctive face shield. She was seen interacting with fellow celebrities, smiling and laughing as she mingled with other guests.

However, it was her transformation into the bridal look and her emotional walk to close the show that drew particular attention.

As she made her way down the runway in the short intricate gown, Nana Akua Addo shed tears, prompting applause from the audience as she completed the presentation.

Her choice of outfit added a deeply personal touch to the appearance, with Nana Akua Addo later suggesting that the moment represented the end of a chapter in her life and the beginning of another.

Taking to Instagram after the show, she reflected on the significance of the moment, describing it as more than a fashion appearance.

“Last night, I walked into my moment and gave the runway a finale to remember. I closed the show in a wedding gown, just as I closed a chapter in my own story,” she wrote.

She added that endings could hold their own beauty, particularly when accompanied by the courage to embrace new beginnings.

“Perhaps there is something beautiful about endings, new beginnings and the courage to embrace both,” she stated.

For the fashion icon, closing Sevonne Dejana’s showcase was a deliberate statement, one she believed needed to be made at that particular moment in her life.
