Mahama Reveals He Monitors TikTok Complaints and Forwards Them to Ministers on WhatsApp

President John Dramani Mahama has revealed that he personally monitors complaints from Ghanaians on social media, particularly TikTok, as part of efforts to understand the challenges citizens are facing.

The President made the disclosure while speaking about public criticism of his administration, stressing that he does not take offence when people express dissatisfaction with the direction in which the country is being governed.

“I don’t mind if people tell me I am leading the country in the wrong direction. I’m trying to do my best. I see all your TikTok complaints,” Mahama stated.

According to the President, he pays attention to concerns raised by ordinary Ghanaians online and sometimes takes direct action by forwarding complaints to relevant ministers through WhatsApp.

He explained that whenever he comes across issues requiring government attention, he shares them with the responsible ministers so they can examine the concerns and take the necessary steps.

The revelation offers insight into how the President uses social media as an additional channel for receiving feedback from citizens outside traditional communication platforms.

TikTok and other social media platforms have increasingly become spaces where Ghanaians discuss economic difficulties, public services, infrastructure challenges and other national issues.

Mahama’s comments suggest that some of these online discussions reach the highest level of government and can be brought directly to the attention of ministers responsible for the relevant sectors.

His statement also comes at a time when citizens continue to use social media to demand accountability, question government decisions and express their expectations of public officials.

By acknowledging that he reads the complaints, the President has indicated that public criticism is something he pays attention to as he carries out his responsibilities.

However, Ghanaians will also be interested in seeing how complaints shared with ministers translate into practical solutions and improvements in their daily lives.
