“I Was Looking Forward to a Top Appointment in Mahama’s Administration” — Prophet Nigel Gaisie

According to a report by The1957News on Friday, October 30, 2026, the Founder and Leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, has opened up about his expectations of receiving a top government appointment under President John Dramani Mahama’s administration.

The popular Ghanaian preacher reportedly disclosed that he was looking forward to being appointed a minister or becoming a member of the Council of State following the formation of the Mahama-led government.

His comments have attracted attention because of the expectations he had regarding his possible involvement in the country’s political administration.

Prophet Nigel Gaisie is known for his involvement in national discussions, particularly on political and social issues. Over the years, he has made several public comments about Ghana’s political environment and the activities of the country’s major political parties.

His latest revelation has brought renewed attention to the relationship between religious leaders and political leadership in Ghana.

The position of a minister and membership of the Council of State are among the important roles in the country’s governance structure. Ministers are appointed by the President to oversee various government ministries, while members of the Council of State provide advice to the President on matters of national importance.

Although Prophet Gaisie has disclosed that he was expecting one of these appointments, the available report does not establish whether he was formally considered for either position.

His statement has since raised questions about his expectations and what may have happened after President Mahama assumed office.

The revelation is also likely to generate public discussions about the expectations of individuals who supported or associated themselves with political movements before and after elections.
