Ghana U-15 Boys end FIFA Festival campaign with 4-0 win over Colombia

Ghana’s National U-15 Boys team ended their FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival campaign in Azerbaijan on a high note after recording an emphatic 4-0 victory over Colombia in their final match.

The young Ghanaian side produced an impressive response after suffering a 7-1 defeat to Brazil in the Tier A ranking play-offs for fifth to eighth place.

Ghana had earlier missed out on a place in the semi-finals after losing 7-6 on penalties to Paraguay in the quarter-finals, following a 2-2 draw in regulation time.

Despite those setbacks, the team recovered to dominate Colombia and finish their campaign with a convincing victory.

Ghana recorded eight wins in their 10 matches, scoring 44 goals during the tournament and securing a place among the top eight teams.

Shamsudeen Sulemana was among the standout performers, scoring four goals in Ghana’s 5-2 victory over Mexico in the Round of 16.

Abdul Aziz Issah also impressed throughout the competition, finding the net in crucial matches, including encounters against Korea Republic, Mexico and Colombia.

Ghana began the tournament with five victories from five group-stage matches before defeating Korea Republic 2-1 in the Round of 32 and Mexico 5-2 in the last 16.
