Ghana and Burkina Faso explore stronger trade and industrial ties at SIAO 2026

The Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, has reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to deepening trade and investment relations with Burkina Faso through a proposed bilateral trade agreement focused on industrial cooperation, cross-border trade and value addition.Delivering the Guest of Honour address at the opening ceremony of the 18th International Arts and Crafts Fair of Ouagadougou (SIAO 2026) on Friday, October 30, 2026, she highlighted opportunities for collaboration in handicrafts, agro-processing, shea, cotton, leather and agricultural value chains.
