Dbanj Writes Emotional Note to his Late Son”

Nigerian music star Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj, has touched the hearts of many after sharing an emotional message dedicated to his late son, Daniel Oyebanjo III.

The singer took to his X account on Thursday to express how much he misses his son, who tragically died in June 2018 at the age of one.

In his heartfelt message, D’banj reflected on the painful loss and acknowledged the emotional weight it must carry for his son’s mother. He expressed his love for the little boy while reassuring him that the family continues to find strength and peace despite the painful experience.

The award-winning entertainer wrote, “I miss you, Daniel D3rd, my son, and trust me, I can’t imagine how your mother feels, but we are in a safe space now.”

He further explained that he, his son’s mother, and the child’s siblings are now in a better place emotionally. He also expressed hope that his late son would be proud of how the family has continued to move forward.

D’banj described Daniel as the family’s star boy and thanked him for teaching him important lessons about life. He also asked his late son to send greetings to his uncle Femi, whom he equally misses.

Concluding the emotional tribute, the singer reaffirmed his unconditional love for his son, declaring that his affection remains strong physically, spiritually and powerfully.

Daniel’s death remains one of the most painful experiences in the singer’s life. The little boy tragically drowned in a swimming pool at the family’s Lagos residence on June 24, 2018, while D’banj was reportedly in Los Angeles, United States, for a music award event.

The singer’s latest tribute has once again reminded fans that the pain of losing a child can remain deeply personal, even years after the tragedy.a
