Bank of Ghana Releases Official Daily Exchange Rates for Friday, October 30, 2026

The Bank of Ghana has released its daily foreign exchange rates for Friday, October 30, 2026, providing the latest interbank rates for the US dollar, British pound and euro against the Ghanaian cedi.

According to the published figures, the rates represent the average interbank exchange rates used by commercial banks at the close of business on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

For the US dollar, the buying rate stands at GH₵11.6457, while the selling rate is GH₵11.6573. This means commercial banks buy one US dollar at GH₵11.6457 and sell it at GH₵11.6573.

The British pound is trading at a buying rate of GH₵15.5656 and a selling rate of GH₵15.5823. The pound remains the highest-valued currency among the three major foreign currencies listed in the latest update.

Meanwhile, the euro is buying at GH₵12.9952 and selling at GH₵13.0081. The figures place the euro between the US dollar and the British pound in value against the Ghanaian cedi.

These exchange rates are important to individuals, businesses and organisations that depend on international financial transactions. Importers rely on them to estimate the cost of goods purchased from abroad, while exporters use them to calculate the value of their earnings.

Students studying overseas, families receiving money from relatives abroad and travellers planning international trips also monitor the daily exchange rates.

However, the Bank of Ghana has clarified that the published figures represent interbank averages. Commercial banks and foreign exchange bureaus may offer slightly different rates to customers.

Customers are therefore advised to confirm the applicable rates with their banks or authorised forex dealers before completing transactions.

The Bank of Ghana publishes daily exchange rates to promote transparency and provide the public with information about developments in the foreign exchange market.
