Bank of Ghana Releases Daily Exchange Rates for 30 October 2026
The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has published its daily exchange rates for Friday, 30 October 2026, giving businesses, traders and households a reliable benchmark for foreign currency transactions.
The rates represent the average interbank rates used by commercial banks for transactions at the close of business on Thursday, 29 October 2026.
The US dollar is quoted at ₵11.6457 for buying and ₵11.6573 for selling. The narrow gap between the two rates points to an orderly interbank market for the currency that dominates Ghana’s trade and external payments.
The British pound sterling is the strongest of the three currencies against the cedi, with a buying rate of ₵15.5656 and a selling rate of ₵15.5823. The rate is particularly relevant to importers, students and families with ties to the United Kingdom.
The euro is quoted at ₵12.9952 for buying and ₵13.0081 for selling, serving as a key reference for firms that trade with Eurozone partners.
Together, the three currencies show the cedi’s current position against the major currencies used in Ghana’s international transactions. The pound sterling commands the highest value, followed by the euro and then the US dollar.
Because the published figures are interbank averages, rates offered by individual commercial banks and forex bureaus may differ slightly depending on their own margins and charges. Customers are therefore advised to compare rates before transacting.
The daily publication of exchange rates supports transparency in the foreign exchange market. It enables importers, exporters, investors and individuals to plan their finances with greater confidence and to make informed decisions about when and how to convert their money.
As the Bank of Ghana continues to release these rates each business day, stakeholders are encouraged to follow the updates closely to keep pace with movements in the foreign exchange market and adjust their plans accordingly.
