Zamfara First Lady Supports 150 Women Farmers With Inputs, Cash

The Zamfara State First Lady, Hajiya Hurriya Dauda Lawal, has provided farm inputs and financial assistance to more than 150 women farmers to boost agricultural production and food security.

The support was announced during the 2026 World Food Day celebration organised by the Nigerian Women for Agriculture Progressive Development Initiative (NWAPDI) at the Ministry of Agriculture in Gusau.

Hajiya Hurriya commended Governor Dauda Lawal for prioritising the welfare of farmers and supporting efforts to improve agricultural production in the state.

She said the initiative was aimed at supporting women farmers to increase food production and contribute to food security.

The state coordinator of NWAPDI, Hajiya Shafa’atu Tsafe, urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the farm inputs and financial assistance to improve their agricultural output.
