Wike: We Are Supporters of Tinubu; And the President Said Reconcile and We Reconciled — Asari Dokubo

Alhaji Mujahid Abubakr Dokubo Asari, former militant leader and traditional ruler of Torusarama-Piri in Elem Kalabari, Rivers State, has explained that his reconciliation with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, followed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive. Dokubo Asari made this known during a live broadcast on his official Facebook page on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

Speaking about his relationship with Wike, the traditional ruler said he had never considered their disagreements to be a personal dispute, explaining that their differences largely concerned their respective styles. “I have always said that I have no personal problem with him. I did not agree with his style. He too might not agree with my style, but we are supporters of Bola Ahmed Tinubu. And then the president said reconcile, and we reconciled,” he said.

Dokubo Asari also spoke about reports that the president had instructed certain individuals not to come to the Presidential Villa, commonly known as Aso Rock. “Today, I heard that the president said don’t come to Aso Rock. How many times were you seeing me in Aso Rock? When you go to Aso Rock, what do they do in Aso Rock?” he asked.

The former militant leader also used the occasion to challenge those who, in his view, speak carelessly about other people and their circumstances. “Talk is cheap, so people talk anyhow. I am a Muslim, and being a Muslim has taught me so many things that you don’t know about life. I always leave everything for God,” Dokubo Asari stated.

Dokubo Asari further drew attention to his personal wealth, specifically his Rolls-Royce, while responding to the discussion surrounding access to Aso Rock. “Go and price my Rolls-Royce first. Nobody has it in the whole of Nigeria,” he said.
