SFAN and Adjaye Associates to Host Organic and Artificial Minds Breakfast on AI and Africa’s Creative Economy

The seventh SFAN Breakfast Meeting, supported by Samsung Ghana and D-Black, will share early findings from a new SFAN survey on how young Ghanaians are using AI in their work.

Share on TwitterShare on Whatsapp ACCRA, Ghana, Wednesday, October 21, 2026 – Stars From All Nations (SFAN), Ghana’s leading edtech and human capital development company, will host the Organic and Artificial Minds Breakfast Meeting with award-winning architectural firm Adjaye Associates on November 13, 2026, at the Adjaye Associates Studio in Accra. The event is supported by Samsung Ghana and Desmond Blackmore (D-Black), musician, hospitality entrepreneur and media CEO.

The breakfast brings together leaders and practitioners from artificial intelligence, technology, architecture, design, business, education and the creative industries. Over the morning, they will explore what it means to be human in an increasingly AI-enabled world.

There will be no series of speeches. Instead, the morning centres on a high-level keynote conversation and fireside-style exchanges. These are designed to surface ideas, challenge assumptions and connect the people shaping the future.

At the breakfast, SFAN will present the headline finding of The State of AI Careers in Young Ghana, edition one, a research project supported by Samsung Ghana.

Samsung Ghana works with young Ghanaian creatives throughout the year. By supporting SFAN’s research, the company wants to better understand how young people are using AI in their work and what support they need. The partnership builds on the Quantum Leap Career Fair, which SFAN and Samsung Ghana hosted at the British Council in 2025.

According to ISSER, only 10% of university graduates in Ghana find formal employment within a year of graduating. AI is now adding another dimension to an already difficult transition into work.

The creative economy is particularly relevant to this conversation. Most young Ghanaians turn to the creative economy for livelihood. But as they build careers in creative fields, AI is equally changing how work is produced, who gets commissioned, and how talent gains visibility.

The report will draw on a survey SFAN will issue on October 28 at its ReadyforWork AI Careers Coaching Session. Google is hosting the session at the Google AI Community Center in Accra, and SFAN expects 100 to 150 young people to take part. All data will be aggregated and anonymised, and every participant will give consent.

“We work with young Ghanaian creatives all the time, and we see how quickly they’re picking up AI and making it their own. What we don’t have yet is clear data on what it means for their work and their income. That’s why we’re backing SFAN on this. We want to listen first, then find practical ways to support them,” said Tracy Kyei, Corporate Marketing Lead, Samsung Electronics West Africa Ltd, Ghana branch.

“Only one in ten young Ghanaians finds formal work within a year of graduating. Many of the rest are building careers in a creative economy where AI is changing dramatically,” said Tom-Chris Emewulu, Founder and President, Stars From All Nations (SFAN). “This breakfast puts their experience, and real data, in front of the people who shape that economy.”

“At Adjaye Associates, we believe that intelligence extends beyond technology. It is embedded in our cultures, landscapes, traditions and the accumulated knowledge of our communities. As artificial intelligence increasingly shapes how we think, create and design, the question is not simply what these tools can do, but how we use them to build on the intelligence we already possess.

The Organic and Artificial Minds Breakfast is an opportunity to explore this relationship and consider how technology can expand the possibilities of African creativity without diminishing the human imagination and originality that underpin it,” said Kofi Bio, CEO, Adjaye Associates, Accra

The seventh SFAN Breakfast Meeting is a morning of conversation, ideas and networking.
