Kaizer Chiefs Will Beat Orlando Pirates Former Pirates Superfan Backs Chiefs

Joy ‘Mama Joy’ Chauke, a former Orlando Pirates superfan, has predicted that Amakhosi will win all three points at FNB Stadium and has supported Kaizer Chiefs to defeat the Buccaneers in Saturday’s Soweto Derby.

In an interview with KickOff for its Supporters Forum feature, Chauke stated that even if the Pirates are winning both domestically and in continental competition, she thinks the rivalry offers the Chiefs a chance to improve their recent performance.

“It will end in tears, Kuyokhala abantu.” The Kaizer Chiefs are triumphant. “Go ahead with Amakhosi,” said Chauke.

Given her lengthy affiliation with the Orlando Pirates, the prediction seems noteworthy. Before voluntarily departing the Soweto giants in November 2021 to become a well-known fan of Royal AM FC, Chauke had been a supporter of the team for thirty-two years.

Despite that past, she thinks the Chiefs have what they need to win the most recent encounter between the bitter rivals.

Chauke contended that Soweto derbies do not always follow form, implying that the team deemed less successful prior to the game may win. She contrasted the Chiefs’ defeat in the CAF Confederation Cup with the Pirates’ recent successes at home and in the CAF Champions League.

“The team that isn’t performing well usually wins the derby. to maintain equilibrium,” she informed KickOff.

She continued by saying that in these situations, where pressure, atmosphere, and the significance of bragging rights can make the outcome unpredictable, luck frequently plays a pivotal part.

God will give the Chiefs the derby on Saturday because he loves everyone. You will never win the Soweto Derby if you are unlucky. To win the derby, you need good fortune. In the Soweto Derby, underdogs always succeed, according to Chauke.

Ndlovu, a midfielder for the Chiefs, was also singled out by the former Pirates fan, who expressed confidence in his ability to stop Pirates players from controlling the game as they see fit.

The Soweto Derby is still one of the most anticipated football matches in South Africa, and both teams’ fans have high hopes. The Chiefs will have an opportunity to test their rivals in Saturday’s Betway Premiership match, while the Pirates will be looking to keep up their momentum.

The outcome will ultimately be determined on the pitch at FNB Stadium, but Mama Joy’s prediction adds another voice to the build-up.
