Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has opened up about a difficult period in his life when he spent an entire year without a job after losing his position in the corporate sector.

Despite the challenges of maintaining employment alongside his acting ambitions, Arukwe continued pursuing opportunities in the entertainment industry, attending auditions and participating in stage productions.

His experience reflects the professional uncertainty he encountered before gaining wider recognition in Nollywood, as he navigated job losses and financial challenges while remaining committed to his passion for acting.

Recounting the experience during the interview, Arukwe said, “I was out of a job for a whole year. It was one of the hardest periods of my life. And then I got a job at another retail company selling sports equipment.”
