“I Don’t Know His Whereabouts”- Wife Of Prophet Who Vowed To Raise Toluwanisings Cries Out
TikTok prophet Woli Arugbo Ojo has reportedly been arrested in Ibadan following his claim that he would bring late gospel singer Toluwani back to life.
The cleric was allegedly taken into custody on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, after the singer’s personal assistant reportedly filed a complaint over statements linking the prophet to the circumstances surrounding the singer’s death.
Following the development, the prophet’s wife has appealed to Nigerians in the country and abroad to help locate her husband, claiming that she does not know where he is being held.
In a video shared on the prophet’s TikTok page on Wednesday, the woman called for public intervention over her husband’s reported arrest.
She alleged that her husband was taken away after Toluwani’s personal assistant lodged a complaint against him. According to her, she has been unable to determine his whereabouts since the incident.
The prophet’s wife also defended her husband’s controversial statements, insisting that he made the claims because he believed he was following divine instructions.
The reported arrest comes amid growing controversy surrounding the cleric’s comments about Toluwani’s death and his prediction that the singer would return to life.
Reports also indicate that the singer’s personal assistant took issue with allegations the prophet allegedly made against him in connection with the death. The police were reportedly said to have asked the cleric to provide evidence to substantiate his claims.
However, the police had yet to issue an official statement confirming the reported arrest or addressing the allegations as of the time of filing this report.
Toluwani, whose real name was Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, died on October 14, 2026, after reportedly collapsing at his residence in Ibadan.
Following his death, his personal assistant alleged that some hospitals declined to provide emergency treatment when the singer was taken there for medical attention.
The circumstances surrounding the gospel singer’s death have continued to spark widespread reactions on social media. Disagreements within his family over his burial arrangements have also added to the controversy.
Several gospel entertainers have reportedly become entangled in the matter following the circulation of unverified claims online.
Gospel singer Tope Alabi, comedian Woli Agba and Dele Omo Woli have reportedly threatened legal action against an individual identified as Pastor Tayo Ministries over social media posts allegedly linking them to the singer’s death.
The reported arrest of Woli Arugbo Ojo has now added another layer to the controversy, with his wife seeking public assistance to establish his whereabouts.
As of the time of this report, the police had not publicly confirmed the prophet’s arrest or responded to his wife’s claims.
