George Ruto Sparks Concern After Being Spotted Wearing Arm Sling In Family Photo

Kenyans are concerned about the wellbeing of George Ruto after he turned up in a family photo with his right arm secured in an orthopedic sling.

The image, posted on Facebook by a user known as Baba Taifa, shows President William Ruto’s lastborn son dressed in a white shirt and beige trousers, smiling alongside a man holding a child and a woman in a floral dress, all photographed inside what appears to be a private residence.

The grey sling around his right arm was impossible to miss, and it quickly became the focus of attention in the comments section despite the post’s primary subject being about football.

The Facebook post’s caption was actually about an upcoming match, with Baba Taifa confirming that:

“Uncle Kimutai has confirmed 5th January 2027. We will watch Bayern Munich vs. Ajax live in Nairobi.”

But George’s condition overshadowed the football talk, with followers asking what had happened and sending messages of support.

By the time of publishing, George had not disclosed how he sustained the injury.

The photo was shared just a day after George publicly reacted to a major football announcement involving the new Raila Odinga International Stadium.

On October 29, George shared a poster advertising the upcoming Bayern Munich vs Ajax Amsterdam clash that will officially open the 60,000-seat stadium at Talanta Sports City on January 5, 2027, and captioned it “Very bad” – a reaction that caught attention.

President William Ruto had announced the fixture on October 28, describing it as historic and linking it to Kenya’s preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, which Kenya will co-host with Uganda and Tanzania from June 19 to July 17, 2027.

Kenyans in the comments flooded the post with well-wishes for George, hoping for a quick recovery.
