Galadima: He Talks About Kano But He’s From Yobe, I Don’t Know Where He Will Vote In 2027-Oshiomhole

Senator Adams Oshiomhole, representing Edo State, has argued that NDC chieftain Buba Galadima does not hold any real political influence at the grassroots level and that the prominent opposition leader may not even cast a vote in the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking on TVC, Oshiomhole said, “I know a lot of big-name politicians who are only big in Abuja, big in political parties, but unknown in their villages. There is one of them, for example, he is always prominent in talking about Kano, but he’s from Yobe. I don’t know where he’s registered to vote, if he votes in 2027. He’s from Yobe but he speaks as if he’s from Kano. There are a lot of people like that, and the media always thinks these guys are on the ground politically,” he said.

Oshiomhole contrasted that kind of political profile with what he described as genuine grassroots engagement. He used Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo as a positive example.

He noted that when President Tinubu officially launched the APC campaign, Soludo not only delivered a compelling speech but also ensured that party councillors from the local government level were present.

Oshiomhole argued that these people are tasked with carrying the message down to the very foundation of the electorate. According to him, that kind of bottom-up mobilisation is what ultimately decides elections, not the noise generated by politicians who are well known in Abuja but invisible in their own communities.
