FG Begins Implementation Plans As FEC Approved OHOPRS – Minister

The Minister of the ministry of humanitarian affairs has announce that the Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the One Humanitarian One Poverty Response System (OHOPRS), an important milestone in our efforts to strengthen humanitarian assistance, social protection and poverty reduction in Nigeria.

According to him, for too long, interventions have operated independently, leaving gaps in support for vulnerable households.

OHOPRS is designed to change this by connecting emergency assistance with social protection, skills development, livelihood opportunities and sustainable pathways out of poverty.

The Minister stated that the goal is simple: No vulnerable household should receive temporary relief and then be left without a pathway towards recovery and self-reliance.

He appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership and the Federal Executive Council’s support for this important reform.

The next task is implementation, working closely with states, relevant institutions and development partners to translate this approval into measurable improvements in the lives of Nigerians.
