EOCO Probe: Hopeson Adorye Alleges Attempt To Conceal Ownership Of Estate Linked To NPP’s Aboagye

Hopeson Adorye, Director of Operations for the United Party, has alleged that the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) uncovered a luxury real estate development linked to New Patriotic Party (NPP) Director of Communications Dennis Miracles Aboagye as part of an ongoing financial probe.

Speaking during an interview on Ghanaweb, Adorye claimed that following the property’s discovery, individuals connected to the development attempted to conceal its true ownership. According to Adorye, managers placed a prominent signboard belonging to a well-known real estate company at the estate’s main entrance to mislead investigators and obscure Aboagye’s alleged financial ties.

Adorye disclosed that EOCO investigators, led by Raymond Archer, subsequently visited the offices of the firm whose branding had been displayed at the site. The company’s management reportedly denied any ownership or prior knowledge of the development and expressed shock over the unauthorized use of their corporate identity.

Company representatives then accompanied EOCO officials to the estate to remove the fraudulent signboard, confirming that the real estate firm held no operational or legal connection to the premises.

Furthermore, Adorye stated that this newly identified estate is in addition to seventeen other high-value properties allegedly seized or frozen by state investigative authorities in connection with ongoing corruption probes involving former government appointees and political figures.

The allegations have intensified public debate surrounding asset recovery efforts and accountability regarding former public officials. While EOCO has not issued a formal press statement regarding the specific estate, anti-corruption advocates emphasize that thorough asset-tracing remains crucial to ensuring transparency and establishing the true ownership of suspect properties across the country.
