Veep Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang’s Stunning Kaba and Slit Outfit at Recent Event Wins Hearts Online
Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has won praise on social media after appearing in an elegant kaba and slit outfit at the Women’s Leadership Breakfast.
The event was hosted by Olori Ivie Atuwatse III, the Queen Consort of the Warri Kingdom in Nigeria. It was also attended by Dr. Joyce Banda, former President of Malawi, and Dr. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, former President of Mauritius.
For the occasion, the Vice President wore a grey and white patterned kaba and slit set with green accents. The top featured a flared peplum, long sleeves and lace detailing at the cuffs. Its standout feature was a beaded green collar with a sculpted, cape-like shape. The matching slit skirt gave the outfit a polished and balanced look. She finished the look with pearl drop earrings and neatly styled braids in a deep purple shade.
Social media users described the outfit as classy, graceful and befitting of her position. Many admired how it blended traditional style with modern detail.
Beyond her outfit, the Vice President delivered a message that drew attention. She noted that African women have long shown their ability to lead, even when their contributions receive little recognition. She drew on her years of conversations with women in Ghana’s markets, who understand business, manage risks and sustain communities.
She also outlined steps Ghana is taking to remove barriers for women. These include the Social Protection Act, 2025 (Act 1148), the Social Protection Regulations, 2026 (L.I. 2521), and the Affirmative Action (Gender Equity) Regulations, 2026 (L.I. 2522). She stressed that implementation is as important as the laws themselves.
She added that the upcoming Women’s Development Bank will help address the financial barriers many women face as they grow their businesses.
The Vice President shared her remarks and photos on her official Facebook page on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. She expressed hope that the conversations at the breakfast would lead to practical collaboration in support of women whose abilities and ambitions are not yet matched by available opportunities.
